JORD Wood Watch – Greeting Spring in Style

JORD WATCH REVIEW

As parents to two of the girliest girls going it is hard to avoid a certain amount of fashion and style in our lives.  Hubby has never been very good at picking out clothing, thats where I come in.  But when it comes to wrist watches he has impeccable taste.  His bedside table is full of various watches to suit all occasions. So needless to say when I was given the opportunity to add to his collection I jumped at the chance.  JORD Watches have released their Spring collection of watches and it does not disappoint, there is a wood watch for everyone.

His one aim in his Dad fashion life is to not embarrass the girls. Going out in tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt are an absolute no! It is jeans or trousers with a polo at a minimum when his little girls are in tow.  I am not complaining, lets be honest. Matching velour tracksuits have never been my thing.

It is lovely to see that as a father he wants the girls to be as proud of him in every way, as he is of them.  So I knew this new men’s watch would be a perfect accompaniment to his wardrobe.

The Watch

Hubby chose the Red Sandalwood and Red Carbon from the Delmar Collection. It arrived by post in a beautiful wooden box.

The red carbon is really striking as a square face to a watch. The sandalwood has a beautiful red hue to it. and it so smooth to the touch.

Both the men’s watch and women’s watch selection are delivered according to your own wrist measurement so they are instantly wearable without having to have them adjusted.

Spring Style

I see no reason this watch wouldn’t go with the latest men’s spring fashion.  According to GQ magazine this years colours are beige and pink.  Now beige goes with everything and would be the perfect compliment any wood watch with any face colour.  The red of this watch may clash with some pinks (I’m looking at you fuchsia!) but due to the subtle red in the wood mixed with the bright red of the watch face I think a light pink would lift the watch and bring life to the overall outfit.

It also looks like squares are a huge style statement this year and the pattern will be hit your local high street soon enough.  Now for the young whipper snappers out there I suspect a square statement trouser will be easy to pull off.  However, for the more conservative dressers out there, like Hubby, a square watch is a much better way make a fashion statement.

For me Spring is all about Mother Nature and the start of the world becoming more colourful again. A unique watch made from wood is the perfect way to celebrate this season.

Verdict

Safe to say this cool watch had an instant seal of approval from Ellie and Trixie.  I am no fashion expert but I believe in coordinating colours and accessorising an outfit to lift it.  Hubby doesn’t wear much red, in fact I’m struggling to think of a single red item.  He wears a lot of black and blue.  These are perfect colours to pair with a red watch.  The striking red face really stands out against his outfits and creates a talking point. To be perfectly honest I’m a little jealous.  The wrist strap seems really durable and the finish of the watch screams high quality and high fashion. Now all I have to do is go shopping and buy him some new clothes to complete his Spring look.  It’s a tough job this wife malarkey but someone has to do it!

  1. I’d love a Jord watch… they are really quite striking! Hope they’d last longer than my wooden phone case which famously lasted less than 24 hours 😉
    Thanks for sharing with #coolmumclub
