My Autumn/Winter LookBook with LOTD.com

I have made no secret of the fact that I love the Autumn. Honestly I love the cold weather. I don’t even mind the rain as long as it doesn’t go on for days on end. One of the best things about the cooling weather is that I get to update my wardrobe with some new cozy items. This year I have tried to go cosy and trendy (for a change) and I thought I would show you my Autumn/Winter lookbook with LOTD.com.

Black Round Neck T-Shirt

Keeping it simple for my first item. A black round neck t-shirt is a wardrobe basic in my opinion. There isn’t really anything it doesn’t go with and because it is black it hides a multitude of mummy bulges and toddler stains.

Hubby’s thoughts: “Yeah well it’s a black tee!”

Cable Knit Grandad Cardigan

I got this is cream as it goes with my over all look for this winter, however it comes in a range of gorgeous colours. I love chunky knits like this. They make me feel so cosy on the cold dark winter days. This is a loose fit, as it is supposed to be. The buttons add a great detail to it and the wool is soft and not itchy at all.

Hubby’s thoughts: “It looks a bit big. Is it meant to be like that?”

Burgundy Mid Rise Skinny Jeans

I am always really nervous about ordering jeans from places I am not familiar with. I am a very standard fit but I still find some shops make their jeans really long or really small to usual size. I am a regular size 10 but all usual fits (not H&M! If anyone knows how they work out their crazy sizing I would like to know.) I need not have worried. These jeans fit perfectly. Honestly, it is like they were made to measure. And they are well made too. These also come in a variety of colours.

Hubby’s thoughts: “They’re a nice colour.”*

Tan Front Button Mini Skirt

I don’t often wear skirts, mostly because I struggle to find any I like. This one is beautifully soft and suede like to the touch. The material feels fairly flexible so it is very comfortable to wear. My biggest issue with skirts is they often feel like they are riding up, which is a particular issue with shorter skirts. This one doesn’t do that too me. The cut seems to suit my hip shape.

Hubby’s thoughts: “I don’t really like the colour but it goes well with everything else.”

Blue Pinafore Dress

I love a denim dress! Over the years I have had loads but it was time for a new one. This pinafore dress is quite tightly fitted on the skirt but it is still comfortable. The back has gorgeous criss cross straps.

Hubby’s thoughts: “It looks like you are about to bake something.”**

LOTD.com

I had not heard of LOTD.com before so I was excited to find somewhere new to shop. The prices are ridiculously reasonable for the quality of the clothes. I am a bit of a snob when it comes to clothes and will happily pay a bit more for quality but this website has shown me you don’t always have to.

Complete the look….

I have completed my look with a tartan scarf from H&M (last years collection), black opaque tights from Boots and some ankle boots from Deichmann.

*He actually said something about my behind but I’ll keep this polite.

**Ellie said the exact same thing! I think they are in cahoots.
