Pound Toy Review & Giveaway

Pound Toy Review & Giveaway

Over the years I have often had the thought ‘No one told me about that part of parenthood.’ From the first nappy change to the potty training. There are plenty of parenting books out there to help cover the basics but realistically the basics really are all they cover. One of the biggest shocks for me was the amount of toys they accumulate and how much it all costs! So I am very excited to be reviewing Pound Toy with a Giveaway for you all.

The Cost Of Toys

Oh all the toys! I can’t be the only parent who is stunned by all the toys the kids have and want. And then the cost of them. I honestly believe we would be able to buy a brand new Audi straight off the forecourt if we added up the retail value of all of the toys in our house. Admittedly, we are our own worst enemy with the cost of toys even though we do try and buy those that are on offer.

The Variety Of Toys

Then there is the variety of toys; wooden toys, plastic toys, role play toys, outdoor toys, activity toys. The options are endless. And don’t forget the age group of toys to add into the variety mix. People say that variety is the spice of life but when you are sat at your computer desperately trying to find the perfect present for your soon to be five year old daughter, variety really isn’t the spice of life. The spice of life in this instance is ease of narrowing down the variety.

Pound Toy

This is where Pound Toy comes in. As the name may suggest you can find toys on here for as little as £1. In fact I found some on offer for 50p. So that is the money dealt with but what about the variety? Well there is no concern there either. There are so many toys to choose from but thankfully there are plenty of filter options on the site to really help you narrow down your choices and find the perfect toy. You search by age, gender, price or type of toy (to name just a few). But the best part for me was that all the toys are really good quality toys. They are not cheap value toys but toys I want to buy for my kids. For example, one thing that came out during my searches was a flower press. This may not be an ideal gift for everyone but I know that my daughter will love it. I have been looking to get her one for a while. Perfect. As you can see I got a lot of £50 and I could have stretched my budget even further but I knew Ellie would love the Princess Twilight Sparkle for her birthday.

  1. I try to obey the linky etiquette of reading and commenting on host posts, but I can’t retweet this one. Of course I want to support fellow bloggers, but I really am only interested in personal blogging, ie no affiliate stuff, no commercial tie-ins. I am not against these and indeed, as a professional writer, I back blogging as a profession. It’s just not the kind of blog I write and follow. Please don’t take this as a criticism, but I am caught between supporting a lovely link but not wanting to endorse a professional post #ThursdayTeam

  2. That sounds like an incredible company! Not only does it help you not get ripped off for the price of toys, but it has a little bit of everything and you can categorize to your hearts desire to find something new that each child will love specifically!

  3. Wow now that sounds like a great site! My two are less into toys these days (a tween and a teen) but if I’d known about this years ago I could’ve saved a fortune! 🙂

  4. This is fantastic! I spend a small fortune on toys only for them to be played with a few times then tossed aside so this could be the answer for me. It looks like you found some great bits. Xx

  5. What a great range of toys! I have 10 year old twins (b/g) and a 5yr old daughter, and there’s something here for all of them!
