I recently baked some delicious caramel filled apple and cinnamon cupcakes mostly for the sake of it and in part for a school bake sale. Part of the recipe was real caramel which I added to the middle of the cupcake. The recipe I used is a really easy, perfect 15 minute caramel.
Many people think caramel is really difficult to make but this is actually a misconception. The only equipment you need are a heavy bottomed pan, a whisk and some scales. It is important to remember not to stir the sugar whilst it is melting or the caramel will go grainy.
Please be careful whist making this as hot sugar causes very nasty burns if you don’t watch out.
