Hi there lovely Linkers.
I hope you have all had a wonderful week so far? I am so tired I don’t actually have the vocabulary to describe it (not something I like to admit). Currently I’m blaming the end of the school year as I remember when I was younger this wave of exhaustion washing over me as the summer holidays approached. It is as if someone has sprayed trace elements of pepper spray in my eyes and added lead weights to my leg muscles. Everything aches and everything burns. Only two weeks and two days left…. Not that I am counting, you understand. I love being in this state of tiredness…..
❔Relax ❔ ⠀⠀ Weekends definitely aren’t relaxing with kids. At least not in the traditional way. ⠀⠀ But there is nothing that can soothe my soul like watching them have fun with huge smiles on their faces and laughter in the air. ⠀⠀ So no, weekends aren’t a traditional type of relaxing anymore. They’re even better 💕 #whprelax
On the plus side the exhaustion has made me even more determined to slow my lifestyle down, especially at the weekends. So last weekend we went strawberry picking. It was such a great way to spend a sunny morning. The girls loved trying to find the biggest reddest strawberries. So much so that we ended up picking £30 worth of strawberries. Ooops!
So keep an eye out over the next few weeks as there may be a couple of strawberry centred recipes coming out. I wouldn’t want to see them go to waste after all.
I even put a little video of our morning on IGTV so head over and check it out.
🍰 Cake 🍰 ⠀⠀ It’s becoming a tradition that every year we go strawberry picking I make a cake. ⠀⠀ Strawberry & vanilla sponge with a strawberry mascarpone frosting. ⠀⠀ It’s made a dent in the gallon of strawberries we picked… now to find a few other things to make. Strawberry ice cream anyone? ⠀⠀ #strawberrycake #summerbakes

My Featured Post
I loved this post by Indian Mum Vlogs. These habits are all things that will change the way you feel and your outlook on life, and not one of them is hard to achieve, they simply require a little self discipline to stick with it. But if you do, you will notice a huge difference. Such a great read and I hope it helps someone.

I’m not sure I can summarise this post as it’s beautifully written so all I will say is pop on over to Kate’s blog and read this very relatable and emotional piece.
