Happy Thursday Linkers.
I hope everyone is well and surviving the holidays so far. Things are going well in the Winnettes household although it is early days and the heat is wearing very thin. I am not adverse to taking the kids out and making sure we are prepared with water, sun cream and hats but really by 2pm we are all grumpy and tired so this week has been all about relaxation.
School holidays are generally pretty ok for us but the one thing we find tough is learning to be around each other again fo so much of the day. Monday was exhausting. Ellie seemed to finally understand that there was no school and this verbal diarrhoea escaped her. She barely stopped for breathe. She seems to have run out of things to say for now but with her attending summer camp at least once a day over the holidays I’m waiting for my chatty girl to reappear soon enough.
The one major plus to this weather is that my garden is thriving. The flowers are really blossoming and I absolutely love it. We even have a garden project planned for the holidays so follow along on Instagram stories for updates.

This post gave a wonderful and special insight into the back stage of Matilda. Currently on tour this is a show I would love to go and see one day. With a large cast it is wonderful how much work goes into production and how the children are looked after to ensure their education and well-being is maintained whilst they have the opportunity to pursue their dreams. For me the Theatre is a great day out and something I look forward to enjoying with my daughters in years to come.
